Privacy policy

What this site collects, what it doesn't, and what happens to it.

We collect very little. We don't hold gambling accounts, we don't take deposits, and we don't need to know anything sensitive about a reader to do our job. This page covers what is collected anyway, and the rights you have under UK GDPR.

Who we are

For the purposes of UK GDPR, the data controller is ARIGEO LIMITED, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 14845144), with a registered office at 26 Great Bounds Drive, Tunbridge Wells, England, TN4 0TR. The company operates this site (Game Counter View at gamecounterview.com) as an editorial reference. We are not a gambling operator and we don't hold any user accounts on this site itself.

For any data-protection question — access, correction, deletion or anything else covered below — email help@gamecounterview.com.

What we collect

  • Standard server logs. When you load a page, our hosting provider logs your IP address, the page requested, the time, and the user-agent string. This is how every website on the internet works at the most basic level.
  • Cookies. See the cookie policy for the full list. None of them identify you personally.
  • Click data on outbound affiliate links. When you click through to a listed operator, the affiliate platform sees the referral. The platform — not us — knows you came from this site. That's how the referral fee gets attributed correctly.
  • Anything you send us. Email a correction or use the contact form and we have a copy of what you sent until we've dealt with it.

What we don't collect

  • We don't ask for your name, address, date of birth or anything similar in order to read the site.
  • We don't see your gambling account at any operator. We don't know your balance, your bonus status, your wagering progress or any of it.
  • We don't share data with operators. We send referrals; we don't exchange reader information.

Why we collect anything at all

Server logs let us keep the site online and spot abuse. Cookies remember whether you've already passed the age confirmation and the cookie banner so you don't see them on every page load. Affiliate platforms attribute referrals so the site can be funded. That's the lot.

How long we keep it

Server logs are typically held for 30 days by the hosting provider before being rotated out. Affiliate tracking is governed by the operator's and the affiliate platform's own retention rules — they hold the data, not us. Anything you send us through the contact form is deleted once the conversation is concluded, unless you've asked us to keep it.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

  • Ask for a copy of any personal data we hold about you.
  • Ask us to correct anything inaccurate.
  • Ask us to delete what we hold.
  • Object to or restrict processing.
  • Complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk if you're unhappy with how a request has been handled.

To exercise any of these, contact us through the contact page.

Children

This site is for adults only. You must be 18 or older to read it, and certainly to act on any of its content. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, this page's "last updated" date will change. The substance of what we collect doesn't change often.
