We don't take deposits, run games, hold accounts, or do anything else an operator does. The list of things we are not is much longer than the list of things we are.
Game Counter Viewstarted for a simple reason: the visible UK casino comparison space is busy, and a lot of it reads like marketing dressed up as editorial. We wanted a small, honest site we'd be happy to recommend to a friend — and that meant being upfront about what we are, how we make money, and where the editorial line sits.
What we are
An independent editorial site. The operators on this site hold Gambling Commission licences and you can confirm that on the Commission's public licensee register. We review, compare and write about those operators in plain English, with a particular focus on UK licensing and player protection — that's the spine of how we judge a site.
What we are not
We are not a casino. We don't hold a gambling licence ourselves, and we don't need one for what this site does. We don't take deposits. We don't pay out winnings. We don't process bonuses. If you have a question about your account at any listed operator, the operator's customer support team is the place to go — they have the answers, we don't.
We're also not part of any of the casinos we list. We're not financed by them, not owned by them, and not running on a white-label feed from any of them. The relationship is strictly affiliate: a referral fee when readers sign up.
How we're funded
Affiliate commissions. When a reader clicks a link on this site, opens an account at the operator, and meets the operator's qualifying terms, the operator pays us a referral fee out of their marketing budget. How we keep that honest
Two practical commitments. First: position on the page is not for sale. The order of the showcase reflects our editor grade, not commercial deals. Second: if an operator's licence is suspended, revoked, or the brand goes dark for any reason that affects UK players, we take it off the site. Affiliate money is the funding model — it isn't the editorial line.
Who writes it
The reviews are written and graded by one editor with a long history of reading UK gambling licence conditions for fun, and a much shorter one of playing. The voice is meant to be readable rather than slick — closer to a knowledgeable friend than a marketing department.
